Tajwid means rules of recitation of the Holy Quran. In sura Muzzammil, verse 4 of the Holy Quran, Allah (subhananahu wa taala) commands: “and recite the Quran in slow measured rhythmic tones.” Hence, the proper pronunciation of the Quranic words during recitation, as well as recitation at a moderate speed is the most important pre-requisite of the Quran reading. There are seven schools of Tajwid and the most popular school of Tajwid is known as Hafs.
Our specially designed Tajwid course introduces you in detail to all rules of the Quran recitation. We seek guidance from the most eminent books on Tajwid such as Jamal-al- Quran, Tusheel-ul-Tajwid, and Mueen-ul-Tajwid. We also teach the students the sources of pronunciation of different letters and their characteristics. Our Tajwid exercises are based on the Quranic verses. |
